At The BASTANI LONDON LTD, booking our food truck and catering team for your private or corporate event means we reserve that date exclusively for you. This prevents us from attending other lucrative public festivals or accepting alternative private bookings. Additionally, catering requires significant advance purchasing of fresh, perishable ingredients.
To protect our business operations and ensure fairness, our cancellation and refund policies are strictly enforced. By paying a booking deposit, you explicitly agree to the following terms.
1. The Non-Refundable Booking Deposit
To secure your event date, a booking deposit is strictly required.
This deposit acts as a non-refundable retainer to block out our calendar and cover initial administrative and menu-planning costs.
Under no circumstances is the initial deposit refundable, even if the event is cancelled or postponed by the Client.
2. Event Cancellation by the Client
If you need to cancel your booking entirely, you must notify us in writing via email at support@bastanilondonltd.com. The following cancellation charges apply based on the notice given prior to your scheduled event date:
- More than 30 days' notice: Only the non-refundable deposit is forfeited. You will not be liable for the remaining balance.
- Between 14 and 30 days' notice: 50% of the total agreed catering quote is due. If you have already paid the balance, 50% will be refunded.
- Less than 14 days' notice: 100% of the total agreed catering quote is due and strictly non-refundable. At this stage, fresh ingredients have already been ordered from our suppliers, and staff have been rostered.
3. Reductions in Guest Numbers
We calculate our food orders and staffing based on the guaranteed guest numbers provided by you.
You may increase your guest numbers (subject to our capacity and additional charges) up to 7 days before the event.
No refunds or discounts will be given if fewer guests attend the event than the final guaranteed number provided 14 days prior to the event, as the food has already been purchased and prepared.
4. Subjective Taste and Perishable Goods
Food is inherently subjective. We pride ourselves on our authentic Mexican street food recipes and high-quality ingredients.
No Subjective Refunds: We strictly do not offer refunds, partial refunds, or discounts based on a subjective dislike of the food's taste, spice level, or presentation, provided the food was prepared safely and matched the agreed-upon menu.
Leftovers: Due to strict food hygiene and temperature control regulations, any leftover food remains the property of The BASTANI LONDON LTD and will be safely disposed of. We do not package leftovers for clients due to health and safety liabilities.
5. Cancellation by The BASTANI LONDON LTD
In the highly unlikely event that we must cancel our catering services due to extreme unforeseen circumstances (Force Majeure, critical mechanical failure of the food truck, or severe staff illness):
- We will inform you immediately and attempt to provide a suitable alternative solution if possible.
- If no solution can be found, we will cancel the contract and issue a full 100% refund of all monies paid to date, including the deposit. This refund represents the absolute limit of our liability.
6. How Refunds Are Processed
Any approved refunds will be credited back to your original payment method via our secure payment processor (Stripe). Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the funds to clear into your account.
